What we collect

The extension sends one thing to our servers: the domain of the supported store you are currently on (for example flipkart.com), so we can return the offer list for that store. Nothing else leaves your browser.

What stays on your device

Your settings, allow/block lists, cached offers, tuned selectors and the diagnostics log are stored in your browser's local extension storage. You can clear all of it from the extension options page at any time.

What we never access

Passwords, payment card details, billing addresses, order history, cookies and any site outside the five supported stores. The extension declares host permissions only for those stores, so other tabs are technically out of reach.

Email addresses

If you ask us to email install instructions or join a browser waitlist, we store your address and the browser you chose so we can send that one message plus a launch notice. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for unrelated marketing. Reply to any email to be removed.

Analytics

The website measures anonymous, aggregate events — page views, which install button was clicked and which browser it was for, and simulator interactions. These contain no personal identifiers. The extension itself sends no analytics.

Browser differences

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera grant site access at install time. Firefox lets you restrict access to “Only when clicked”. Safari requires per-site approval under Settings → Extensions. In all cases you can revoke access without uninstalling.

Data retention and deletion

Local extension data lives until you clear it or uninstall. Email records are deleted on request — write to support@askreferral.com and we will remove them within 30 days.
