Beta install
Install AskReferral in under a minute.
We're in review on the Chrome Web Store. Until it lands, you can run the exact same extension locally — it detects supported stores, then tests and applies the best code at checkout automatically.
Manifest V3 · Builds for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari below
Browser-specific builds
Each build ships the same engine with a manifest tuned for that browser — a service worker on Chromium, an event page plus add-on ID on Firefox, and a converter-ready bundle for Safari.
Chrome / Brave / Arc
chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked
Microsoft Edge
edge://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked
Firefox
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox → Load Temporary Add-on
Safari (macOS)
Unzip → xcrun safari-web-extension-converter <folder>
Safari needs one extra step: unzip the bundle and run xcrun safari-web-extension-converter <folder> --macos-only in Xcode, then enable it under Safari → Settings → Extensions. Prefer a signed build? Email support@askreferral.com.
Step-by-step install
Pick your browser — every step is written out, no guessing.
Chrome Web Store
Works for Chrome, Brave, Arc and Opera — one-click install, auto-updates.
The store listing is still in review. Until it goes live, use the beta build — it's the exact same code and checks for updates automatically.
Also covers Brave, Arc and Opera — same Chromium engine, same build.
- 1
Download and unzip the build
Grab askreferral-chrome.zip below and unzip it somewhere permanent, like Documents/AskReferral. Chrome loads the extension from that folder every launch, so don't delete it.
- 2
Open chrome://extensions
Paste chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter. On Brave use brave://extensions, on Opera opera://extensions, on Arc arc://extensions.
- 3
Turn on Developer mode
Flip the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner. Three new buttons appear on the left.
- 4
Click “Load unpacked”
Select the unzipped folder — the one containing manifest.json, not the zip. AskReferral appears in the list immediately.
- 5
Pin it to the toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar and hit the pin beside AskReferral so the offer badge is always visible.

What it does once installed
- • Recognises supported stores and badges the toolbar icon with live offer counts.
- • On the cart or checkout page, an AskReferral card appears with every referral code, coupon, cashback and card offer we have for that store.
- • “Apply best deal” types each code into the store's coupon box, watches the order total, and keeps whichever code saved the most.
- • Stores that block automation (Swiggy today) fall back to one-tap copy instead.

Shopping site access
host_permissions — amazon.in, flipkart.com, myntra.com, ajio.com, swiggy.comReads the cart total and types codes into the coupon box on those five stores only. Every other site is out of scope — AskReferral cannot even see it.

Storage
storageKeeps your settings, the cached offer list and the diagnostics log on your own device. Nothing in this store is sent anywhere.
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari
Active tab / scripting
activeTab, scriptingLets the offer card render on the checkout page and lets “Apply best deal” fill the coupon field when you click it.

Permissions are granted per-site at install. You can revoke them any time in the extension details page under “Site access”.
Firefox
Firefox asks again on first run and lets you set access to “Only when clicked”. Auto-apply then runs only after you open the popup.
Safari
Safari requires you to pick “Allow on Every Website” or allow each store individually under Safari → Settings → Extensions. Safari also re-asks after each macOS update.
What we do: read the store domain and the order total, apply codes you approve, store settings locally.
What we never do: sell data, read other tabs, touch payment fields, or build a profile of you.
